The "organic grocery", sort of a itty bitty Puget Sound Coop. It recently moved to the former lumber building on Fisherman Bay Road and Weeks Road - way more space and services. Lots of local products and friendly staff.

The outdoor deck/terrace overlooking the marina is casual and delightful. Food and service is fine: what you would expect, and the view/setting is especially nice. Weekend music groups make it lively place to go in the evening.

Winery is just south of the Farmhouse, but tasting room is now in the Village.

Delightful, easy walk through the woods down to the dramatic rocky shoreline. Good trail for young kids. Look over at San Juan Island, check out the seals, birds, and dramatic current.

The Lopez Solid Waste facility - aka the dump - is a non-profit, taken over from the County several years ago and going strong. A fine expression of Lopez Community life; "Like it here? Contribute your efforts to making it so!" Volunteers help the staff with a vigorous recycling program. Check out the delightful Take It or Leave It facility ( TIOLI): find a tool, trinket, tisket or tasket. Some amazing items just waiting for new homes and purposes; all free, all friendly. Open mid day on weekends and Wednesdays.

If you have time while waiting for a ferry, walk up the hill through the woods to the Upright Head overlook. Very easy walk - just a bit of a hill - on nature preserve lands and a good way to appreciate the island's geology/maritime conditions.
