Laugh the night away at Helium Comedy Club. Tuesdays at 8pm they host Open Mic nights (free) with a plethora of funny Portlanders telling jokes on stage. High quality stuff, I highly recommend it.

They have awesome margaritas and amazing southwestern dinner food--the plates are huge so I would recommend sharing one entree between two people (even then I still have leftovers!). Knot Springs is a spa type social club in a tall, tall building right on the Willamette River at E Burnside. Go for the pools of varying temperatures ranging from hot to warm to breathtakingly cold! They also have a sauna and steam room. A 2 hour soak is $55, worth it for a special occasion and good old fashioned relaxation. Catch a great view of downtown (and the Portland sign) from the hot tub!

Awesome park on top of a dormant volcano. Beautiful pines and a great view of the city at the top. There's also a couple pretty water reservoirs. Locals gather here for a nice picnic or sunset outing.

Neat waterfall with a paved hiking trail up to the top. There's an iconic bridge in front of the fall that's good for photos! Getting here also takes you on a pretty drive along the Columbia River. I'd say it's a Portland must-see!

My favorite spot on the coast featuring a really big rock! If you go during low tide, get up close and see some awesome sea life (think anemones and such). About an hour and a half drive but it's a nice little road trip and pretty all along the way!
