Sightseeing and activities
Cozy cafe in amazing Ersfjorden. From the waterfront you can admire the majestic chain of mountains surrounding the fjord, while eating good homemade patisserie and a cup of coffee or tea. The cafe is also a shop and they sell beautiful interior items and snacks.
Take a stroll along the beach or enjoy the scenery from the terrace.
It takes about 20 min. by car.
You can also take bus route 42 to "Eidkjosen" and the route 425 to "Ersfjordbotn"
Close to Ersfjordbotn you can hike up to Nattmålstinden. You can park on the other side of the football court. Then cross the court and follow the path up to the top. It takes about an hour to walk up. Enjoy the view. If you are very fit you can walk up on the other side (follow the path from the parking spot) to Buren. This is a longer trip. It takes 2-3 hours. Steep and with a fantastic view.

You can also walk to the top and/or down again. In winter use spikes on your shoes, you can buy these in any shoe store. There are sherpabuilt stairs most of the way. In the winter you can slide down parts of the way, but be careful if you do.

This is a nice place close to the city to go for a walk. There is a path from the beach along the shore. You can walk all the way to the city center or take bus route 33. You can bring some wood and make a fire, there is also barbecues that you can use.
It's a good place to spot the northern lights when it's dark and clear in the wintertime.
It's close by Tromsø museum, and nice to combine with a visit there. 😊
They have a nice exhibition on the traditional life of the Saamis, traditional life in Northern Norway, animals in the arctic and also fun and interesting activities.
