Welcome you to our beautiful area. The Territory is a 6,800-acre private recreational
and residential lake community located six miles southeast of the historic city of Galena.
Nestled near the center of The Territory is Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa, known for its 63
holes of championship golf and open to the general public. Venture over to the
Shenandoah Riding Center to enjoy a trail ride or riding lesson.
For the benefit of our property owners, their friends, family members and rental
guests, The Galena Territory Association, Inc. (GTA) has set aside 1,900 acres of
protected recreational land, providing facilities and amenities that include hiking trails,
Lake Galena, a marina complex, an equestrian center and a clubhouse complex.
Together, The Galena Territory and Eagle Ridge offer elegant accommodations,
excellent food, tennis, horseback riding, swimming pools, boating, fishing on 225-acre
Lake Galena, and hiking and biking through nearly 32 miles of wooded trails.

Apple River Canyon State Park is in the hilly northwest art of Illinois in Jo Daviess County near the Wisconsin border. 444 Eagle Ridge DrNot only does Casper Bluff Land & Water Reserve boast some of the most commanding views of the Mississippi River and its backwater sloughs, it is also an archaeologically significant site. The 170-acre site contains the Aiken Mound Group, named for the nearby community of Aiken. Our modern knowledge of these mounds stems from 1900, when William Baker Nickerson, an amateur archaeologist who worked for the railroads, documented 51 mounds at this location: 38 long, wall-like structures, 12 conical mounds, and one thunderbird effigy. Nickerson also observed an earth ellipse or hut-ring and two circular depressions.

Casper Bluff Land and Water Reserve
