If you're looking for more exploratory things to do in San Francisco, you can't go wrong with a walk around Chinatown! Sure, plenty of cities have their own Chinatown, but SF's is in another league. It's the largest of its kind outside of Asia and is also North America's oldest.

While the best time to visit the Sutro Baths is debatable, many agree that the view at sunset is best. If possible, visit during the week, as the baths can become fairly crowded on the weekend.

If you've ever seen a car commercial featuring the Golden Gate Bridge, chances are good that part of it was shot on Conzelman Road leading up to Battery Spencer. At almost 500 feet above the bay, this high cliff-top vantage point makes for great views today. Come for the view, but be sure to walk around the remains of the battery, a vestige of a bygone era.
