it's 8 miles to London Bridge using quiet routes. The London Parks are a great cycle route for a day.
take bike for free on train between 10 and 4. there is usually a cycle carriage. second carriage to front and back on a long train. in centre for short train. the doors have a red stripe. if you can run down platform to get it but if not just jump on. you'll be in the way but smile nicely and people move around ypu!!
