Hiking and Swimming in Stanislaus National Forest

These are great nearby hikes and swimming areas that are in the national forest, no reservations required.
Rainbow Pools, located less than one mile from the lodge, are natural swimming holes along the south fork of the Tuolumne River. The area is a popular picnic, swimming, hiking and fishing spot.

Total distance: 3 Miles No Dogs Allowed Parking Fees: $8 per car This trail starts out in Stanislaus National Forest and takes you into Yosemite Wilderness along the South Fork of the Tuolumne River to a waterfall. The trail is pretty flat until the last 1/4 mile, where there is a steep hill to access the waterfall.
