My wife, Raechel, and I originally designed and built this ADU ( accessory dwelling unit ) with the intention of living there full time, but due to a change of plans, it's available to you. The space was designed by Buckenmeyer Architecture, and was constructed by me. Our space features many unique elements such as: burnt cedar siding, 16' multi-slide window wall (please open and close slowly), and moveable cedar slat screens/ We hope you enjoy the space and neighborhood as much as we do!

My Ladd's Addition apartment is well-positioned to allow you to explore Portland. Located in a quiet neighborhood halfway between the bustling streets of Hawthorne and Division; from here, you can easily walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and a movie theater. Public transportation is readily available, as well as car, bike, and scooter shares. In just a few minutes, you can be downtown, the Moda center, the convention center, OMSI, or the waterfront esplanade.

Note that there may be noise from neighboring units; we are more than happy to provide earplugs and a noise machine to help ensure a restful night!

The front gate opens into a private, landscaped courtyard landscaped with jasmine, a Japanese maple tree, rhododendrons, and ferns. We are conveniently located near Mt Tabor Park that has walking trails and a spectacular view of the city. We are also close to several popular neighborhoods with shops, cafés, and restaurants. We welcome people of all backgrounds to stay here and enjoy beautiful Portland.

Showcased in the Modern Home tour of Portland, this newly built ADU is the amazing creation of Portland architect Webster Wilson. A private, airy and elegant oasis set in urban Portland. A glass house with intentional frosted glass to ensure privacy. Escape and experience the elegant grace of this unique guesthouse. Threading the needle of a city lot, the Kenilworth House lives along side a 1905 Victorian, where the host resides.

An open, airy, private, and stylish space located over a detached garage behind the main house. This is a great neighborhood that is close to public transportation and major roads. Easily walk to bike rentals, food carts, restaurants, local bars, and main shopping areas. We are looking to provide a safe and comfortable space.
