You can sit, unwind, and watch the wildlife with a distant view of Bald Knob Cross. The cabin sits in the heart of Shawnee National Forrest and the Southern IL wine trail. Shady Rest “on blue pond” with hot tub

The tranquil sound of the water fountain sets the mood for Shady Rest. (removed during winter) Unwind in the therapeutic hot tub. (open all year long) Watch the 12 ft. windmill twirl as it catches the wind. Resident ducks will provide fun entertainment. End the day with a night fire around the fire pit. Another plus to our property is that we are just minutes away from the Shawnee National Forest, Ohio River, Harrah's Casino, and Paducah KY home of the AQS Quilt Show.
