Enjoy the fireplace and plan adventures on the Lake, the Dragon, or nearby day trips. Your local (not corporate) hosts have lived in Western NC for decades and can advise on your perfect itinerary!

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING – NOT EVERYONE IS APPROVED. We host sport bikes, adventure bikes, and enduros only. No Harleys, choppers, trikes, or cruisers. Just 3 miles from the Tail of the Dragon. Each cozy cabin has two beds, A/C & heat, fridge, and coffee maker. Enjoy a grill, fire pit, movie nights, and fast Starlink Wi-Fi. Please review the House Rules. No children under 16. No pets. Drug- and smoke-free property. Gated, safe, with trailer parking. Please state your vehicle when booking.

Mountain Lake House [Kayaks & Paddleboards]

Welcome to PaddleFin! You will enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views from the large deck on the house and a deck close to the water. This is a peaceful retreat - cell phone service is not available or very limited, no Wi-Fi, and no TV service. We allow A MAXIMUM of 4 guests! There is one king bed and one queen bed. We currently have two kayaks (one single and one two-person), two paddleboards, and a canoe available for use by our guests. Paddles and life jackets are included.

Dragon’s Knoll at Deal’s Gap | Cabin Loft

New! Spacious secluded retreat 2 miles from the tail of the dragon! **Caution: long gravel/dirt driveway. Your vehicle will require at least 5 to 6 inches of clearance to safely traverse the road but accessible for vehicles with trailers up to 14 ft. A small price to pay for literally living on the dragon. A 2 bedroom loft with bathroom, full kitchen, reading nook, and air conditioning. Loft is over a detached 3 car garage with private exterior stairway and plenty of parking space.

This cozy 3 BR, 1.5 BA rustic mountain cabin is ideal for your family getaway, a special retreat with friends, or simply a night's break from the monotony of the road. This cabin is nestled in a private mountain cove on 16 peaceful acres but only 3 miles to Highway 143 and the Cherohala Skyway. Enjoy the mountains from a huge back deck with tables and chairs to accommodate friends and family.
