This is my favorite hiking trail in the Reykjavik broader area, where you´ll find an off-the-beaten track and very secluded nature scene out of your own personal fairy tale. Respect the waterfall of Helgufoss, and the giant elfstone, as this is one of the secret places of the mysterious Huldufolk of Iceland.

It is very nice to take a walk to Helgufoss (Helgu Waterfall) it's about 1 hour walking from Laxnes (Gljúfrastein) Þingvallavegur.
