Rent a surf board, a stand-up paddle board, get surf lessons, etc. This is one of many locations along Waikiki where you can rent board. Look on the beach, you'll see the stands set up for rentals.

Always hip always happening. Lots of expensive shops and restaurants and often free entertainment. It's near Roy's, my favorite restaurant in Hawaii.
