Cuban sandwiches (and platter-style meals) that will make your mouth water hours after you've devoured them. This hidden gem is only a 5-minute walk away, which is both an asset and a danger. Their "restaurant" is sheltered outdoor seating, or get your sandwich as a takeaway (with plenty of napkins) and head to the Sunset View Park for a picnic dinner with a view of a spectacular sunset against Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains. (The park is a flat 1-mile trek that will help you rationalize the calories in the sandwich you are about to devour ;)

A mecca of Indian & Sri Lanka fusion scrumptious plates with dreamy decor! The menu is made up of little dishes ranging from fried bites to curries—there are crispy shrimp shells you can eat like Pringles, roasted tandoori cauliflower, naan with a ton of dipping sauces, spiced fried chicken with an incredible amu miris green chili aioli, and panko-breaded mutton rolls filled with ground lamb served with creamy tomato sambol. On sunny days, it feels like most of Seattle is here walking their dog around the 2.7 mile loop, renting a paddle boat to see if they can spy the eagle that sometimes perches upon a tree in Duck Island, taking a quick run on the outer (3.2 miles) or inner loop, or chipping off of the 9-hole golf course. Or, you can just get a coffee or brunch at a nearby restaurant and enjoy the view!

The Seattle Great Wheel is a relatively new addition to the Seattle skyline - having started spinning for Seattlites and tourists alike in 2012. The wheel will take you up to a height of 175 feet, not once, not twice - but three times...so that you have plenty of opportunity to take in city, sea, and mountain views. Each cabin can accommodate up to 8 people, and the total ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes (generally, longer rides in the summer since the wheel will stop frequently to load people onto each cabin. The wheel also features stunning light shows on most nights, so fun to watch from the ground for those who aren't a fan of heights. The wheel will stop turning at midnight on Friday/Saturday nights, or at 11 p.m. every other night, so plan accordingly :)
