The Little Shamba Retreat

The Shamba Guest House is a little retreat on a self catering basis for a couple or a family or group of four people, with a double bed in the en-suite bedroom and two sofa beds in the living area. It is located on a working farm and is part of our family home although separated and private. We are almost off grid with solar lighting as mains electricity is unreliable and our own well water. Internet connectivity is sporadic but phones work. We do everything to make it comfortable for you.

The Farm holiday home is located in Kakooge. It is a 2 hours drive from Kampala the Capital city of Uganda. The facility has a main house, which is a 4 in one, that is; 1 common room and 3 bedrooms Then 1 entwined house and the rest are independent ones. all with bathrooms inside. The facility also has a water Fountain, very good doe calming the mind. It has a variety of Fruits like;Mangos, Papaya, Jackfruit, Guavas, oranges, ovacados among others. Guests are free to enjoy.

On site, there’s a cleaning staff and workers for the farm. It’s slightly more than 1 hour away from Murchison falls and 30 minutes away from the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Kacheera Camp A-frames

Our remote home is located on the shores of Lake Kacheera only a 20 minute drive from Lake Mburo National Park. In our a-frames, a comfortable mattress with bedding is provided for sleeping on. Each of the two a-frames have their own outdoor bathrooms with an open aired shower and a roofed compost toilet.
