MacLeod House Guest Cottage is a self-contained stone cottage nestled on the edge of the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. The open plan accommodation is decorated in an Edwardian style but with all the modern conveniences you might require. The cottage overlooks the magnificent Krantzkloof gorge. There is an abundance of bird life for birding enthusiasts and a tranquil setting in which to relax whilst enjoying the sound of the Nkonka Falls directly below the property. A 'must see' for nature lovers.

A 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive will take you to the swimming beach and nearby grocery shops, take-aways and restaurants. Just 25 minutes away from the city of Durban, this quiet spot makes for the ideal holiday or business stay. Please note: We do not permit parties on the property. Day visitors are only allowed by prior arrangement.

The house offers two separate units. Unit 1 offers a bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen, and lounge. Unit 2 has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a kitchenette, and TV room. Easy access to main house with steps leading down from parking area. The owners reside discreetly in garden cottage behind property, ensuring assistance while respecting your privacy.

Westville is a very treed area and green all year round. At Horizon Hideout you are so close to nature and yet only 5 minutes to the shops, an 8 min drive to the Pavilion Shopping Centre and a 20 minute drive to the Durban beachfront. Up high in the trees, our space is a tranquil, beautiful, simple space perfect for a break from the city, but close enough to everything to still have fun! If you are coming for business we have fast and dependable WiFi. We also have a GENERATOR for load shedding if necessary.

The Cabin can only be accessed via walking stairs (100 to be exact).
