There is a cosy fireplace and a beautiful outdoor braai area, looking on to Cathkin and Champagne Castle mountain peaks. For those with mobility limitations, it has an access ramp, raised bed, lip-free shower with grab rail, and raised toilet.

Our home is situated in a central neighbourhood in the beautiful town of Harrismith, boasting with views of our scenic Platberg over the many treetops. We have two selfcatering units on our property, Protea Plekkie/Place (this listing, 4 guests max) and Protea Hoekie/Corner (seperate listing, 2 guests). Ideal for overnight stop when traveling the N3 or N5, or for a comfortable longer stay when visiting our area for business or leisure. Eastern Freestate charm is found in abundance around here!
