The famous Coumeenoole beach is a 10 minute stroll, Dingle town is 10 miles away and Killarney 50 miles.

Private lawn that leads down to the sea shore where seals can be seen on a daily basis bathing on the rocks on low tide. The cottage sits snugly at Curraghmore Farm in the Black Valley, surrounded by the breathtaking MacGillycuddys Reeks. It was fully refurbished in the last couple of years & is furnished in a very atmospheric, fresh & light manner. Wander along The Kerry Way - one of Ireland’s longest & most famous walking trail, hike Ireland's highest mountain Carrauntoohil. Its unique very remote location is a perfect spot to watch the clouds pass overhead & the sheep “baa” in the field.

The monastic Skellig Island (a Star Wars filming location) is a quick boat ride from Portmagee. We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs during your stay. 🐕

Skellig Nest.

Skellig Nest is perfect for a couple heading to Skellig Michael or visiting Portmagee , Valentia and the surrounding areas. You have the place to yourself and walk from your bed to the sea for a nice (chilly) dip in the sea. We don’t have cooking facilities but you have a kettle, toaster and fridge to prep yourself a nice breakfast. Tea , coffee, hot chocolate are provided.
