Second small bedroom doubles as an office. A gas stove twinkles inside while an antique spiral staircase adds elegance. Fully-equipped kitchen, laundry, and Starlink to provide top-tier connectivity. Nestled in the wooded hillsides of the GW National Forest, The Hideaway provides a retreat from the stresses of urban life and is the perfect base to enjoy all the Lost River area has to offer - hiking and fishing, cycling, and more. And blazing fast internet let's you work from here if you need. Completely refreshed in 2019, this cozy cabin offers a large queen bedroom and an open living/dining area, updated kitchen, large deck, and screened-in porch for taking in nature's sights and sounds.

1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !

A convenient two-hour trip from Washington D.C. and minutes from Winchester, Virginia, this quaint home makes the perfect retreat. It accommodates couples, families, and furry friends. There are two public lakes Warden Lake (approx 7 miles away)and Trout Pond Recreation (approx 10 miles away. You're a guest once, then you're family!
