This playful cabin offers a unique spot to unwind and explore the Schoodic peninsula and Downeast Maine. Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.

Views of the islands, views of the colorful working waterfront, an outdoor dining area, easy access to the shore to launch your own watercraft, close to West Quoddy and the Cobscook Shores trail system! Please note this is an old home with some funky aspects, but if you are active and want a place to relax after a day of hiking or sightseeing this is a spot you'll love.

This rustic and simple one-room cottage was built around 1975 and was used as a fishing camp. We've taken it out of the deep woods and relocated it where it now overlooks the river of our 2 acre land. It's outfitted with electricity, ample kitchen and counter space with electric stove and sink. There’s a hot water heater! A sweet little shower for your pleasure as well. There’s no flushing toilet in the cottage there is an outhouse about 50 ft. or so from the cabin.

The view is unsurpassed and spectacular and features Mark Island Lighthouse and Acadia National Park's, Schoodic Peninsula coastline.
