Palmer and Wasilla are a mere 10 and 15 minute drive in either direction with groceries, amenities and unique local dining options in abundance.

Our spacious deck overlooks the lake with built-in seating. Kayak or paddleboard, chill around the propane fire pit or cuddle up inside with the woodstove (supplemental, cabin has a forced air furnace!) 2 bedrooms, small room has a King bed, larger room has 2 Queen beds. Get ready to RELAX, you're on lake time!

A peaceful escape retreat, the Aurora Lights Cabins are independent, family-run, studio cabins in a picturesque setting overlooking the Chugach Mountain Range and backed up to protected wilderness land which hosts sandhill cranes in summer and moose year-round. Our meticulously designed cabin offers unique salmon-themed decor, a king-sized bed OR 2 twin beds, black-out curtains and blinds for relaxing sleep even in the midnight sun, air conditioning, heater, bathroom, and a kitchenette.

A small cabin built like a studio apartment. Very roomy and homey — quaint, quiet and simple. There’s a garden with fresh greens and herbs for your enjoyment and world class hiking and skiing within 10 minutes. Palmer and Wasilla are 15 minutes away. There’s a large parking area and shed with fun outdoor gear to use, as well as a wood burning cedar sauna. Though we ask that you request/message before using it. Want pets? Cabin in the woods in the heart of Wasilla. This cabin is located on our beautiful 3-acre property with its own private driveway. It has electricity, heat, and an RV-style water system. The neighborhood is quiet and down-town Wasilla is only a mile away and connected by sidewalks or bike trails. Venture to Hatcher's pass for picturesque hikes or to the Iditarod headquarters to mush with the huskies. There are many lakes nearby, fine cuisine, parks and other entertainment.

Don't worry, we have added modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable. Sip coffee at my granny's table while you plan your day, take in the mountain views from your kayak on the lake, and enjoy a cozy evening campfire. Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique Alaskan log cabin. The Mat-Valley is a wonderful place to visit. We are 10 min outside of Wasilla on the west side of Wasilla, and a good jumping off place to your your trip to interior Alaska. We are minutes from a grocery store, laundry mat, gas stations, UPS store, and bank.

The Johnson House Cabin

A comfortable, cozy, private and secluded cabin for up to two guests. Our cabin is overlooking the Knik River Valley and Knik Glacier and offers spectacular views. The cabin is located a moderate 250 step hike from our parking area including two outdoor sets of steps so, self check-in is not an option.
