Hike local trails, stargaze in near-zero light pollution, or sit by the fire pit with the mountains in front of you. The optional wood-fired sauna steps from the door is the perfect end to the day. Sapling Yurt

A short walk through the garden brings guests to this backyard yurt which was handcrafted on a New Hampshire family farm out of many species of local saplings. The handmade door and large skylight let in lots of natural light; you'll rise and set with the sun and watch the stars from the full-size bed. Two small single-sized floor mattresses fold up to make low chairs. A counter, fridge, and sink allow guests to make simple meals.

This 3 bedroom property sits on a wooded lot beside a brook in the White Mountain National Forest and is only minutes from downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and snowmobile trails. Also nearby are hiking and biking trails, swimming as well as many other outdoor activities. 25 minutes from Loon Mountain and 10 minutes from Waterville valley. Bikers are welcome.
