We are about a 40 minute drive to Canton (home of the First Monday Trade Days) and about 6 miles from the Amtrak station in Mineola. Enjoy the slow, quiet streets and paths and amenities such as lakes, fishing (no fishing license needed), golf, tennis, pickleball, & pool. A good place for quiet nature lovers.
