The Stone House

The Stone House is set in 24 acres of natural Tasmanian bush in the Arthur Pieman Reserve. This is in the pristine Tarkine Wilderness area. The Stone House is made of stone, beautiful timber and earth rammed walls. We have made a rough track around our block, please explore. The grasslands are home to Bennetts Wallabies, pademelons, tassie devils, wombats, quolls and possums as well as the magnificent wedge tailed and sea Eagles. The coast is wild and untamed and ready to be explored.

Hellyer Beach Bungalow- Absolute Beachfront

North facing sunny, warm and welcoming, cosy for couples, big enough for a family with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Fully self catering or you can access the local Tavern for excellent meals. There is a small garden providing herbs and usually some seasonal vegetables for you to use. Absolute beach frontage for your enjoyment- fishing, walking or swimming. View magical sunsets and sunrises in this unique part of the world. A great base to explore the iconic North West environment.

Ann Bay Cabins

Adorable cosy well equipped cabins. Both have amazing ensuites; spa or rain shower, small kitchenettes with a bar fridge, microwave, pots & electric frypan. Great selection of teas, coffee, & sugar, with a treat always left in the fridge. Our balcony is lovely spot to sit & watch the Eagles from or a sunrise/set. At night you can hear the Ringtail Possums, with their dear wee squeaks, while admiring some of the best night skies you’ll ever see. Aroura spotting can be done nearby.

The Reef at the edge of the world

Kick tha sand off ya toes after your 150m walk back from tha beach and take in the sweeping views and sunsets over the edge of the world and arthur river. or even better, soak away the day in our restored outdoor cast iron bath. Then ya could pour a drink at our Gin Bar, light the fire in the “man cave” and relax while the sausages burn on the bbq. Kids have a sandpit, basketball, boardgames. Get some rest tho, tmorra your fishing, 4wd’ing, hiking or even a river cruise. Welcome.

Relax on the deck overlooking lush farmland and with views across to Highfield. From the front door you can view The Nut and a short walk to the beaches .

A cosy granny flat ( studio ) with all the basic comforts for self catering, with private entrance in rural surroundings. The town of Smithton is in walking distance. Our family live on the property but you'll enjoy complete privacy. It's a great space for an overnight stopover or short term stay. Also ideal for anyone coming to the area for work purposes. Sanibonani means "Hello" in Zulu and we hope you will feel welcome and very much at home in our cottage.

Located on the South Arthur River Touring Route just 10 mins from the Arthur River and 5 mins from the start of the Tarkine forest. A private cottage with abundant grounds and resident wildlife this is Tarkinegrove . Bird enthusiasts, photographers and artists will love Tarkinegrove. See the Platypus at dusk during season. Dozens of birds, Spotted Tail Quoll, Pademelons, & Eastern Barred Bandicoot do visit, again depending on the depending on the season.
