Beautiful rural retreat, outskirts of Swanage

Ideal for walkers, bird-watchers and nature lovers, this quiet bolt-hole is in the garden of one of the oldest houses in Swanage. The Purbeck stone building in the southern outskirts of the town is separate from the main house, has it's own entrance and off-road parking. A five minute walk brings you to the Durlston National Nature Reserve looking out over the Jurassic coast. Durlston Castle, the Lighthouse and the Southwest Coast Path are 15 minutes away on foot. All without crossing a road.

The Hayloft

The Hayloft is located in the heart of our working farm in the beautiful isle of Purbeck. There is a permissive footpath from the hayloft across the fields to kimmeridge bay. It is important to remember that you will be on a working farm so there may be noises and occasional smells that come with this. However, if you’re looking for an authentic farm stay with coastal walks on your doorstep, then look no further. NB. Sadly I do not accept children

The cottage has recently been renovated to a high standard with modern amenities, but still retains its classical charm and many period features including exposed beams. Worth Matravers is a beautiful, English village in the countryside of Purbeck, and enjoys a delightful duck pond in the heart of the village as well as many original stone cottages.
