Our cottage is a perfect spot for a relaxing vacation, minutes away from la plage St. Pierre, a short distance to Le Portage Golf course and the National Park. ** our cottage is approx. 50 feet from a gradual 8-10 feet drop to the rock beach below

Welcome to “Point Beithe” (birch point in Gaelic). This beautiful home sits on its own point surrounded by 180° of Mira River waterfront age. You will also enjoy access to your own small private island that is connected by a shallow sand bar. Sit out on the large deck or floating dock to enjoy the views of the river, launch kayaks, paddle boards, and swim. We have signed up for the strongest internet service offered in the area (Starlink). Cellular reception is not great in the area.

MacLeod Cove: secluded cottage with private shore

MacLeod Cove is a 4-bedroom cottage on the Bras d'Or, Cape Breton's beautiful inland sea. Enjoy ocean views and private cove, within 25 minutes drive of Baddeck, North Sydney (Newfoundland ferry terminal), and the Cabot Trail. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. We upgraded our wifi to high speed fiber in 2026. It is very nicely renovated and completely equipped for you to enjoy a weekend gateway or a longer vacation. Open year round with full electrical heat and a wood stove to heat up the cooler evenings and winter stay's The Sleeping Moose Cottage is located on the same property as the Dancing Moose Cafe (very good Breakfast and lunch) and the Zzzz Moose Camping Cabins.

Our central location on Cape Breton Island allow for day trips to all her wonders and attractions. We are only a short distance to the Fun & Frolic Pub for great food and entertainment. Sun and swim on one of the many beaches within a few minutes of Hector's Point. We have 3 suites listed on Airbnb.
