Bayview Cottage on the Atlantic

Nestled at the head of Pigeon Hill Bay, our cottage is surrounded by 20 acres of fields, marshland, private walking paths, and a private pebble beach on the ocean with views of the Atlantic. Acadia National Park is nearby (1 hour plus) or take the ferry (20 minutes away) to BarHarbor. Acadia Park Schoodic Point is a must see (20 minutes). Enjoy our kayaks, our recommended day trips, blueberry picking, visiting white-tailed deer. For a full week stay we serve a lobster shore dinner for two.

The Cottage

A rustic cottage in the middle of Darthia Farm. The farm sits along the shore of West Bay and a short walking trail brings you from the cottage to the salt water. We grow organic mixed vegetables, herbs and flowers, raise sheep, ducks, chickens, pigs, and work with Haflinger horses. We have a farm store that is open everyday except Tuesdays and Sundays. The property is 15 minutes away from the Schoodic Section of Acadia and is surronded is by countless hiking trails and access to fresh water.

Relax with your family at our peaceful home just a few short steps from the beach, pond, and hiking trails of Roque Bluffs State Park. Hummingbird Hollow, aka Schoppee House, is a lovingly updated two bedroom cottage nestled between the ocean and state park land. Enjoy ocean views, salt air, and the sound of waves. A quick walk to the beach or pond, you’re not too far away to run back for lunch or take an afternoon nap. Also, the house is fully heated and is suitable for the cooler months!

From the back deck you can enjoy watching whales in the bay, seals on the beach, and eagles soaring the sky. Additional wildlife include moose, deer, bear, lynx, and fox. Enjoy a campfire in the backyard or on the beach and lose yourself in the details of the Milky Way spreading out above you or the occasional Aurora Borealis.

We are located in the heart of downtown St. Andrews, and free parking is provided for one vehicle. No need to drive anywhere! Everything is within walking distance. Whatever you are looking for, we have! Restaurants, pubs, pharmacy, grocery store, liquor store, boutiques, hardware store, recreational activities, whale watching, kayaking, bike tours, ghost tours, museums, kids activities, etc. The list goes on and on! Lamb Cove cottage is situated on the historic St. Croix River (saltwater) just ten miles (16 kilometers) south of Calais, Maine. It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac two-tenths of a mile (.32 kilometers) off route #1 and one-tenth of a mile (.16 kilometers) from the owners summer cottage. Canada and the Passamaquoddy Tribe being just minutes away this cottage is the perfect spot for a three nation vacation. Wifi now available.
