Explore our small town with a big history, visit its historic buildings, great restaurants and unique shops. The location is convenient to all of the South Coast.

Welcome to Somerset and our soulful little home on the Taunton River. This charming Bungalow sits on a quiet dead end street. Three quarters of the house has water views. 2 bedrooms inside the home, and a bonus room detached from the house which features another sofa and tv, our home is perfect for small families or two couples. Somerset's a small town surrounded by big attractions. It's 18 miles from Providence, 25 miles from Newport, 40 miles from Cape Cod, and 50 miles from Boston.

Enjoy a piece of history at this carriage house! Jonathan Bourne owned a mansion along with this home, and his son purchased a whaler, Lagoda, in 1841. The ship is currently displayed at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, which is walking distance; just four/five blocks of downtown New Bedford, where you can also enjoy shopping, great food, entertainment, and the ferry to either Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket. Bristol is located between Newport and Providence (each about 25 minutes by car) making both places easy to visit! Parking available.

Enjoy a 10-15 minute walk to historic Water Street and the quaint downtown. Great small town shopping at numerous antique shops, artists studios and a wide selection of restaurants. Stroll to Warren Beach and enjoy the day with the family, ending with a beautiful sunset. A scenic bike path runs from Providence to Bristol, RI. Easy access to the highway. 20 minutes to Providence, 35 minutes to Newport, 1 -1/2 hrs. to Cape Cod.

Land + Sea - a country coastal retreat

Land + Sea is an 1890s farmhouse in the Head of Westport neighborhood, just a few minutes walk to the East Branch of the Westport River. Spend the days kayaking nearby or at nearby beaches, then come back to rinse off in the outdoor shower. Close to Buzzard Bay Brewing, Westport Rivers Winery, farmstands, dairies, cycling loops, galleries/studios and conservation areas. Prepare local foods in the chef's kitchen or on the grill.
