Reconnect with nature, true spa experience with the legit barrel steam water over hot rocks sauna and a wood fired hot tub plumbed to hot and cold valves. The tub is filled with fresh spring water by the guests themselves. The wood-fire keeps the water hot but not necessary. This mountain stay is nestled in the mountains of Floyd County Virginia. Claytor Lake Pool House

Relax and unwind in our spacious guest house. Step out of the door onto the beautiful full size, in- ground pool deck, open late May to early September. Well appointed kitchen with everything you need to cook a full meal or just a quick snack. About 3 minutes to Claytor Lake State Park for hiking, swimming or boating with Mountain View's. We have parking for your boat on the property. We live in a log home on the property and are usually available by text or in person. Easy access to I-81.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Cabin by the River

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Please expect no internet, a TV for DVD/CDs only and limited cell reception. Truly unplug & relax.

The Boat House is a newly remodeled studio space. It’s a unique place to stay, located on a private dead end road right on the water with beautiful views it’s 5 minutes from I 81. Perfect for Virginia Tech home sporting events. It’s also perfect for Virginia Tech and Radford University Graduations, weekend or weekly family getaway. You will have access to the dock on the property for fishing and swimming, there is available space at the dock if you have your own watercraft.
