The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Come to the lake! This spacious one bedroom top floor end unit is uniquely located between Napoli by the Lake restaurant and large outdoor swimming pool. Fantastic views of the lake from the large deck! Sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children under three. Black Water Junction Cabin

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Levi Hall Farmhouse- Whole House

This beautifully renovated farmhouse blends rustic charm with all the modern amenities needed for a relaxing and memorable stay. Nestled in a peaceful rural setting, the home features five spacious king bedrooms and four full bathrooms, thoughtfully designed for convenience and comfort. Fresh linens, plush towels, & toiletries are provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The kitchenette is minimal and tidy, meant for convenience rather than full-scale cooking.

Hermione’s Purse

In the heart of downtown Chatham just across the creek from Chatham Hall, you will find a tiny home with room for everyone. Private and quiet with sweeping green views, Hermione’s Purse is within easy walking distance of both private schools and all downtown businesses. Built to last in 1960, the original part of the home consists of the living room and kitchen, with two bedrooms upstairs. The home’s first indoor bathroom and a bedroom downstairs were added in the 1980s.

Our family's best memories occurred here - so we're opening our doors to groups looking to make memories of their own. With 3 bedrooms, 5 beds and free parking, there's room for everyone. Our huge family room with sleeper sectional, office nook, back deck, large yard, WiFi, large TVs, and games are reasons to stay in - but if you venture out, we're 10 minutes from the riverwalk and parks. With modern farmhouse decor, Retreat on Rosemary says, "Welcome to the South, y'all!"

Beautiful pastoral setting and walking distance to the Dan River walking and biking trails and to historic River Town. Also a short drive to the new casino! Lovely green views out all windows, and you get the whole house- very private- no neighbors on either side! Laundry facilities in main level and romantic fire circle with chairs to watch the sunset. Frequent deer sightings! There is an air bed in the back bedroom closet if you need it for a child or extra guest!

Take a quick 15 min drive to Smith Mountain Lake or visit the wineries just outside of town. Hunter's Retreat at Springfield 1842

Private log cabin with king size bed, kitchenette, bathroom on main level, two full size beds in the loft. Includes air conditioning and heating, sleeps up to 4 adults. Upstairs is accessed by a ships ladder so unfortunately its not suitable for all. 24 miles from VIR or around 30 mins drive time

The Home House at Belle Farm

Built in 1932 as a log cabin, this completely renovated farm house is set in a peaceful rural setting. This cozy cottage has all modern amenities but maintains its character and charm, with nostalgic nods to its tobacco farm roots. Set on a 35 acre farm, chickens will be your neighbors.
