The Honey Barn

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Set in the beautiful Kent countryside off of a country lane overlooking fields with stunning views towards the village of Mersham. Relax and enjoy countryside walks, where you can spot the local farm animals, sheep and lambs in the spring, and the gentle trot of horses along the lane from the nearby stables. Although the honey barn is set in the countryside, you are never far away from local stores and the local pub is a 10-15 minute walk.

Listed watermill, mentioned in Domesday book, converted into a Georgian house in 1776, set in 8 acres, 100m from train station (Canterbury and London ). Wye has restaurants, pubs and shops in the village. Accommodation is in the old Mill, with 5 bedrooms (2 ensuite), (sometimes an extra bedroom and bathroom), a fully fitted new kitchen, a grand dining-sitting room over the river. Private terrace overlooking river, and 3-acre island , rowboat, wild water swimming. We welcome up to 2 dogs.

Further evening entertainment in nearby Canterbury (15 minutes by car or train) and wonderful beaches within easy reach.

It is separate from the main family home which offers a cosy/secluded space with an open-plan kitchen and living area. It is a relaxing place to spend many an hour watching the wildlife and enjoying the sights and sounds of Kent We have installed for your enjoyment day & night vision cameras so you can watch the birds and ducks by day and badgers and foxes at night.

The Bubble, which works on a slightly over pressurised system where the air continuously refills the tent is set up on an old working farm. Its the ultimate experience of nature and total comfort. Guests can fully enjoy the peaceful surroundings and wonderful open farmland. Sit back in your very own private hot tub and enjoy the view of the rolling fields. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This property is within 5 minutes walking distance of the Woods and our local award winning Gastro pub, The Dove. We are only a 10 minute drive into Whitstable & Faversham & an approximate 15 minute drive into the historic city of Canterbury. Seasalter & Whitstable Beaches are also just a 10-15 minute drive away. During the week the local bus runs into both Whitstable & Faversham and Taxis are readily available from either town.
