OME桜梅庵omean 美と静寂に包まれる、インテリアデザイナーの小さな隠れ家。JR青梅駅から徒歩3分の便利な立地ながら、ユニークな場所に静かに佇む一棟貸しの平屋です。 この空間は、日本のラグジュアリーインテリア誌のコンペティション 2025年モダンリビング誌主催の１０作品のファイナリストに選ばれました ミニマルな空間。旅を共にする人との距離が近づき、特別な時間が流れます。 青梅の歴史と伝統が織りなす「Ome Blue」江戸時代に人気を博した織物「青梅縞」に象徴される藍色の文化。織物、酒造、猫、芸術、食文化などが織り重なり、藍と自然の青が街そのものを彩ってきました。 “暮らすように泊まる” 愛すべき青梅の伝統やARTに囲まれる暮らし。ここは、ただの宿ではなく、暮らしを楽しむためのatelier 建物 — 時を紡ぐミニマルな空間。2024年に丁寧に改装された小さな民家の佇まいや素材の風合いを大切に残し現代の快適さを調和させました。多少のご不便を感じるかもしれません。日本の詫び寂びを感じてください。 初めてでも、まるで“ただいま”と言いたくなるような滞在をお楽しみください。

Richard Flavin's "Washi House", Saitama Pref.

Welcome to Richard Flavin's Washi House! Richard Flavin (1943–2020) was a Japanese paper artist originally from the US. He studied design in Boston and came to Japan in 1970. He later studied woodblock printing and developed a deep interest in the production of washi. He also cultivated the raw material for washi paper, paper mulberry. We invite those interested in washi paper and art to stay overnight and enjoy this space, reminiscent of a washi paper museum, including these unfinished areas.

Located at the walking distance from the most famous sightseeing spots such as Kuradukuri zone(old storehouse zone), Toki-no-kane, Hikawa Shrine etc.
