Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

Experience a stay in a traditional Japanese house, tucked inside the forested mountains of the Yoshino Valley. This converted farmhouse is located in Kawakami Village, the source of the Yoshino/Kino river. The house sits just above an idyllic swimming spot, perfect for families to enjoy the cool, clear waters Guests will have the full property to themselves, which includes a handmade cedar bathtub with views across the river. There is also outdoor space to enjoy barbecuing under the stars.

A private seaside cottage on Naoshima, the famous Art Island. Located just a 3-minute walk from the Yellow Pumpkin and 2 minutes from the bus stop, it is a perfect base for exploring the island. This two-story cottage accommodates 6–8 guests and includes free on-site parking, which is rare on Naoshima. 小豆島町の静かな海辺に建つ一軒家です。 海と夕陽を眺めて黄昏れる為だけに建てた家です。その為テラスの階段の段数が多く大変申し訳ございませんが決してバリアフリーとは呼べません。（荷物のお手伝い等出来るだけのことは対応させていただきます） ですが、高いテラスを登った先には瀬戸内のキラキラ輝く穏やかできれいな海と毎日顔を変える茜色の夕空が待っています。 是非、時間を忘れ非日常をご堪能ください。 ※現在ペットのご宿泊をストップさせていただいております。 ご希望の方はご予約前にお問い合わせ下さい。 室内にはテラスの階段を登って入ります。バリアフリーではありません。 小さなお子様か階段を登り降りする際は必ず大人の方がお付き添いください。 また、雨の日は階段が多い為ご不便をかけるかもしれません。 宿前の道路は舗装されていません。 ご不便をかけるかもしれませんが、ご了承下さい。 宿の周りは自然が多いため、どうしても虫がでます。窓や扉の開閉時に虫が一緒に入ることがあります。（特に夜は宿の明かりに虫が集まります）大変申し訳ございませんが、虫が苦手な方は宿泊をご遠慮ください。

It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. The guesthouse is a Japanese wooden house with only one room, so you can use privately. The room on the second floor has a slightly lower ceiling, giving it a cozy cabin or tea room feel. This house was built 120 years ago and stayed by a lot of people who have plan to go to Koya-san. The house is in front of the river and you can take a look. It will make relaxed. We can do tea ceremony, if you want. We have 2 toilet and 1 bath room with big bath tab made by a Japanese special wood, Hinoki. There is a 24h super market, Okuwa near the house.(5 min away by a car) And high rank Japanese beef restaurant(2 min by a car) You can enjoy Yakiniku.

Ocean View Retreat in a Quiet Fishing Village

This is a private, whole-house guesthouse located in the quiet fishing village of Nigishima, Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. On the way to Nigishima, you’ll be greeted by the deep blue ocean known as “Kumano Blue,” and the house sits overlooking the calm waters of Nigishima Bay. To reach the house, you will need to climb approximately 50 steps (about a 5-minute walk), but a beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere await you at the top.

Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We accept only one group at a time so you will have exclusive use of the entire property. Japanese log house with BBQ space and private river. You can enjoy fishing a amago, watching beautiful stars. There is a private sauna. After sauna, you can dive into a river. In June you can watch ire flies. All the rooms are made by Japanese special wood , Hinoki and sugi. The smell is amazing. This area is really tranquil and you will be able to make relaxed. And easy to get to Koya-san (40 min by a car)
