Beautiful KVI Beach is a short walk, through a tree-lined neighborhood, from my cozy sunlit home. A 10-minute drive brings you to a new Center for the Arts, several individually-owned art galleries, two grocery stories, and a variety of regionally-recognized and locally-loved restaurants. My 100-year-old house has color and character, a wrap-around deck, views of water and Mt. Rainier, friendly neighbors, and lush landscape. A peaceful place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

The Art Garden guest cabin is a small, quiet sanctuary nestled in a beautiful part of Burton, on Vashon—an intimate and tranquil place to enjoy the serenity of the woods. Perfect romantic getaway. There is a fabulous view of Quartermaster Harbor from the cottage. Enjoy the comfort of a high-end Queen-sized bed and fine linens. Coffee and tea are provided to start your day, then the promise of island adventure awaits. Perfect for a romantic getaway, writer's retreat, or a place to rejuvenate. .

Soaking Tub/Beach Access/Pets:Forest Cabin

Forest Cabin is 380sf of coziness on a peaceful 40 acre waterfront estate. Enjoy a comfy full/double bed up in the loft (notice the ladder up), a peekaboo view through the forest canopy to Puget Sound, relax in the outdoor clawfoot tub or beside the wood stove (wood provided), rest in a hammock during summer, and watch the chickens and ducks peck about. Walk 3.min. across the field to access 1000 ft of private, southern exposure Puget Sound beach. Leashed pets are welcome w/a $45 pet fee.

Wolf Den | Cozy Forest Cabin + Wood-Fired Hot Tub

Private beach cabin, Vashon Island

Some say the cabin has a nautical feel with galley kitchen, wood paneling and brass light fixtures. In the bathroom, copper pipes become towel racks. Outside there are deck chairs and more by the water along with a meditation maze made from beach stones. The lighthouse is a short beach walk away. The reading and writing room, across the path, is a refuge for solitary study or work. Enjoy the water, marine life and birds here where each season brings new joy and sometimes, excitement.

Sea Forever Beach Cottage

A relaxing 20-minute ferry trip from West Seattle or Water Taxi from downtown Seattle brings you to your own private cozy, Studio cottage with sweeping views of the Sound. Watch the ferries go by, relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Olympic mountains, kayaking, a forest hiking trail with sea and Mount Rainier views, beach walks, and downtown Vashon (less than 10 mins away!). Please note: The parking lot is a few minute walk from the cottage.

The Creamery

Nestled between the barn and the milking parlor is The Creamery; a relaxing spot to spend a few days far from the rigors of the city. Here we made Dinah's Cheese for years, and now you can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your plush bed, warmed by the thick down comforter. The French Limousin cows may come up to your bedroom window, curious as to who is sharing the pastures this morning. The quiet will be startling, with little noise but coffee brewing in the kitchen.

Nestled on a local marina, it is the perfect island getaway. Only a 20 min. ferry ride from Seattle and a 15 min. ferry ride from Tacoma, but you will feel a world away. Experience all day outings with 2 person canoe, hiking and beautiful scenery all within a few steps of the house boat!

Nestled above the water on a high bluff, the view literally takes your breath away; Puget Sound, Cascade mountains and sunrises that astound. It may be hard to believe an island paradise is so close to two major cities, but time seems to have stopped on Vashon. It's a magical place; come visit and let the spell work on you!

A five minute walk to Dockton Forest trails and 3 minute drive to Dockton Park with public access to the beach and dock, you can easily enjoy the natural beauty Vashon has to offer. Only five miles from the Pt. Robinson Lighthouse and the Dambo Troll sculpture, Oscar the Bird King.
