Located at the tip of the Blue Hill Peninsula, Brooklin, Maine offers a quiet retreat a bit over an hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. A one-minute walk from The Maine Hideaway's doorstep brings you into the historic village of Brooklin, Maine and a close walk to Wooden Boat School. Our home was built in 1874, we have multiple guest rooms, all with incredibly comfortable mattresses and modern furnishings. We serve a continental breakfast Tue-Sat and hot breakfast on Sun & Mon.

Black Friar Inn and Pub Room 6. The Craftsman Room (formally the Book Room) is newly renovated in the Craftsman style with a king bed and En Suite bathroom with a shower. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor. One dedicated parking space, fridge, TV, WIFI. Located on the third floor.

We offer a 1st floor guest room & private bath inside our home near the Salisbury Cove area of Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor Lobster Pound, Mainely Meat BBQ, Utter Heaven Ice Cream & also Mini Golf is within walking distance. The Acadia NP Visitor Center, the start of the Park Loop Rd and downtown Bar Harbor are within 2 to 5 miles. Drive into Acadia or to the shops, restaurants & excursions of Bar Harbor or from late June to mid Oct, catch the free Island Explorer shuttle from the end of our road.

The room is decorated with fine paintings, has a king bed, day bed, a sitting room with a mini fridge, private bath with a tub/shower, and a TV. This rooms tub is an antique pedestal tub w/ no rails. No A/C, not pet friendly. Fans provided. Can sleep 2 adults and 1 child.
