the ISLAND - A Charming Island Cottage and Bunkie

The ISLAND provides an amazing and unique escape that is truly one of a kind. This remarkable location is located only minutes off the highway and is less than an 1.5hr drive from Halifax. Enjoy the day exploring the shores and endless ocean views on land or in one of the kayaks or canoes provided. Spend the evenings with your favorite drink (and people) around the bonfire. However you decide to spend your time, we hope you enjoy your stay at this tranquil and picturesque island escape.

Newly built in 2021 as a place to hideaway in nature. Set on a private wooded 9 acre lot with lake access to Powers Pond. We have two Kayaks available for use. There are many walking trails on the property for you to explore nature! The contemporary and rustic features of the cottage highlight country living in Herring Cove Village, just 15 minutes to the city of Halifax. Stay put and relax in the hot tub or Herring Cove has hiking, sight seeing, ocean views, and local places to eat.

At high tide, you will wake up to the sound of waves splashing beneath your window. Enjoy the beautiful views from the outside decks or take a kayak and explore. The wildlife is all around. When night falls sit back and relax at the fire pit as you look out on the ocean. Enjoy your stay!

The cottage is conveniently located only 10 minutes from the heart of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. This hidden gem is perfect for those who love enjoying the outdoors and still enjoy the luxury of having a comfortable spot to sleep at night. We would like to share this piece of our paradise with you, located on a peaceful, crystal clear lake. Acres of land, a sandy beach hidden behind a well-groomed property sprinkled with beautiful tall trees disappearing into the Acadian forest. Includes: private hot tub and firepit, shared sauna, cold plunge, lake access, public wood fired hot tub (great for groups when booking one than more cabin) canoe, kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boat, sandy beach, floating mat and more.

The sanctuary sits ocean front w 180° views through all 4 seasons. Soak in the heat in the barrel sauna. Kayak b/t the islands on the ocean inlet, cook in the outdoor BBQ kitchen. Gaze a star filled sky fr the hot tub or rooftop deck, swim, skate, watch the seals bask on the sandbar, this is your relaxation destination! 4 seasons of natures finest artwork! Here your most difficult decision will be taking your coffee on porch swing or rooftop, while birds sing & eagles soar.

The “Kenzie B” cottage is a newly built cottage with unique features throughout like a sliding steel barn door, a steel shower and old barn beams along the ceiling. The covered veranda off the front of the cottage provides you with stunning views of the tidal river and a private hot tub overlooks the river as well. Swim, boat, float, whatever you wish, the river awaits! We also have a motorized floating picnic table for rent if you'd like to explore the river some more.

These unique and thoughtful suites, each of the three units are outfitted with subtle nuances giving the spaces their own special feel. Visitors will enjoy designer micro-kitchens, fully stocked with amenities any food enthusiast would appreciate. A cozy wood stove for those chillier evenings. All units have a special secondary sleeping nest area accessible by ladder. A serene place to hide away and watch for shooting stars through the skylight windows.
