Buffalo Springs Distilling Company

It’s recently been brought to our attention about Airbnb scams! Please reserve with us or someone else that has a history! The Bourbon Trail The Buffalo Springs Distilling Company got it's start in 1868. It closed and it's warehouses were emptied out by the 1970's. This building is one of the last structures left on the site. This historic building was the main office and gatehouse for visitors to the distillery, so we can offer one Queen sized bedroom due to the size of the structure.

The Cabin

As you walk in, The Cabin wraps it's arms around you and says " Welcome home." You can feel the stress leave you as you settle in for your stay at this scenic cabin on 9.8 wooded acres. Fully furnished, spacious 1 room cabin with stone wood burning fireplace, equipped kitchen, bath with shower and twin over queen bunk bed. Refresh your mind & soul on the covered back porch overlooking the mature woods. Enjoy watching the abundant wildlife, including turkeys, deer, chipmunks and squirrels.

No neighbors! It’s not a big or fancy place but it’s clean, simple, and relaxing. The stars are brightest in the country when enjoying the fire pit. Our two story cabin has 1BR with two double beds, full kitchen, full bathroom, recliners, and grills. It's perfect for couples, friends, or small families. The Ark Encounter, Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland, and several distilleries are all within an hour of the cabin. This is a great place to relax between visits to these attractions.

Gopher Wood Getaway Cabin-NEAR Ark Encounter

Located about 20 minutes from the Ark Encounter, our Gopher Wood Getaway cabin offers a rustic and picturesque place for families to stay near the Ark. Enjoy 500 sq ft of living space inside the cabin that includes a fully equipped kitchen, a bunk room and full bathroom. Our cabin has heating, AC and electric over looking 84 acres of Kentucky Bluegrass. NOTE: Our cabins are truly a GETAWAY as we do NOT have any wi-fi or TV in them. Built in 1954, stylish Bluegrass Cottage has been recently renovated and modernized for your comfort and is located 7 minutes from the Ark, and 37 minutes from the Creation Museum!  Centrally located - 2 minutes away from Walmart and multiple restaurants, but still has plenty of privacy with a privacy fenced back yard, and your own propane fire pit! You'll enjoy access through the back gate to the local park with a walking path around the lake, perfect for evening strolls!

The Cute Little House Near The Ark Encounter

The "Little House" is a cute 1 bedroom house located on our farm in a beautiful country setting with 6 acres of outdoor space for relaxing. It is separate from our home and is all yours. It is conveniently located only 8 miles from the Ark Encounter and you only need to make one turn to get there. We have chickens, ducks, turkeys, a horse, and 11 goats. We also have a 1/2 mile nature trail to explore with a scavenger hunt, and a campfire spot with free firewood.

Great Crossings Goat Farm & Apiary

Our solar farm lies in the heart of the bluegrass! We live near: Old Friends Farm, the KY Horse Park, and 35 minutes from UK, Keeneland, The Ark, and 5 distilleries. We live on a small 6 acre farm with cows, sheep, goats, & chickens. Drop by the barn and meet & feed the sheep and goats! You also can watch a movie with them with the little "theater" in the barn. Our house is pretty much a duplex--two houses under one roof, both separate.
