Acenda a lareira e você ficará quentinho.

A própria cabana é tão peculiar e acolhedora.

    Gloria2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • A cabana é imaculadamente feita e super cosey! Definitivamente ficaria novamente!

Direct access to decking & garden so you can enjoy the water, wildlife and countryside. King size bed, TV, continental breakfast, kettle, tea/coffee/milk, toaster and a small fridge. Plenty of walks from the doorstep, cycle routes and climbing opportunities. Perfectly located to explore the Peak District - car recommended.
All on the ground floor, this is a modern extension built in 2006. Another door then takes you into your private shower room, also with underfloor heating. Towels and bedding are provided. There is 'Rural speed' broadband. Mobile signal is poor (or non-existent), but you can use WiFi calling if your phone and carrier support it - many do. We provide local OS Maps (1:25k) and some guide books for you to use during your stay.
Cressbrook Mill is a picturesque and quiet, rural location at the end of Monsal Dale. The property is perfectly located for walking, cycling, climbing and exploring the Peak District. There are numerous walks straight from the doorstep including the Monsal Trail (via path), Cressbrook Dale and walking along the beautiful River Wye via Water-cum-Jolly Dale. Monsal Head, with Stable Bar and Hobbs Cafe (limited opening hours), is a mile away on foot and can be reached without walking on the road. The popular Packhorse country pub is about a mile and a half, in Little Longstone. Both are a downhill walk on the way back! The Monsal Trail is also perfect for an easy bike ride or there are many bridleways and trails if you have a mountain bike and are more adventurous. For climbing, the Rubicon Wall is just 200m away. A venue that many climbers travel for miles to get to, or make special holiday arrangements to be near. A short walk (up hill) to Cressbrook Hall (wedding venue)

The bathroom has under-floor heating and is a seaside themed shower room as is the 2nd toilet. Guests bring their own bedding and towels. Sorry, no dogs.
From the decking you can relax with a great view of a rolling hill plateau
Set in the High Peak District the yurts are behind Street Farm opposite The Duke of York in Pomeroy on the A515 and near to many delightful villages and walks such as Beresford Dale and Lathkill Dale, and to Bakewell and Chatsworth

    Laura2019-08-09T00:00:00Z

Panoramic Views: Cosy up next to the log burner or pamper yourself in the wood-fired hot-tub under the stars. This fabulous, cosy barn conversion is compact, bijou and perfect as a romantic retreat for two. Gaia Lodge, a former piggery, nestles in an elevated position on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border which falls within the southern area of the Peak District National Park. Gaia Lodge boasts panoramic views of the undulating countryside, dotted with natural hedgerows and dry stone walls; so characteristic of the Derbyshire Dales. It can be found 165 yards away from the family run caravan and camping site of Upper Hurst Farm, which has been awarded the coveted Environmental Quality Mark award. The warm, gritstone cottage has been renovated with much love, with exposed Douglas fir King-post trusses, stone flag flooring and a log-burner for cosy nights in. Logs are provided free of charge as is WiFi. Inside the Cottage: The cottage is lavishly furnished with hand-made linen curtains and blinds, goose-feather & down pillows and duvet. We also have Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels, fluffy dressing gowns and a mini-breakfast hamper on arrival. It is enhanced further by fully controllable underfloor heating for toasty toes! The kitchen has a granite worktop with quality fixtures and fittings and modern appliances, including a dishwasher. There is a stone-flagged seating area with a westerly aspect overlooking Ecton Hill which includes a washing line. Outside the Cottage: There is a small, gated and walled garden with a north-west aspect where you can enjoy the last drop of evening sun. This garden leads to a further completely private, decked patio area (south-west facing and becoming a little sun-trap) with a red cedar, wood-fired hot-tub, to provide a truly special and memorable stay. Within the decked patio area there is also a gas-fired barbecue and seating with sun-loungers.
"What a little gem – in every way. Sue has created a relaxing and luxurious little retreat. The lodge is beautifully and lovingly decorated and furnished. Sue has thought about your every need and equipped the lodge accordingly. The hot tub is absolutely fantastic – especially during November. Sue is so kind and generous and there to help if needed but not in any way intrusive. The local walking is stunning and there are plenty of places to visit locally including good pubs and restaurants. Sue – you should be incredibly proud of your glorious lodge. A high thank you from us both xx" - John and Steph - Derby
We are very rural and in the centre of a Derbyshire Dale (1 mile) and a Staffordshire Dale (1 mile) so there are walks and cycle rides immediately from the site. We are also very central within the four major Peak District market towns of Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Leek all about 10 miles away. Chatsworth House and Matlock are about 12 miles.

Charming and comfortable cottage for two located in the guest wing of our long traditional farmhouse. We have a Swedish hot-tub and barrel sauna in the farmhouse gardens which can be booked and hired by guests for a unique elemental experience. *IF YOU INTEND TO HIRE THE HOT TUB OR SAUNA, PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS AVAILABLE WHEN YOU BOOK* (extra cost - for price see 'other things to note' section) Through its own front door you have a small entrance hall with hanging space for coats, a cosy sitting room with log stove, books and a big flat telly if you need it. This leads to a light and comfortable kitchen dining room. This room, with its glass roof, used to be the old barrel ceilinged wash house with an old copper for heating the water. Now it has a small, simple but well equipped kitchen and a big table where you can relax and watch the cows or sheep wander past. The back door, leads up old stone steps to a tiny patio area with garden furniture, but, of course you can also enjoy the big country garden at the front of the house too. Up the main stairs there is a little landing which leads to a spacious bedroom with the best of the beautiful views across the Peak District and beyond. There is a canopied king size bed with beautifully laundered Egyptian cotton sheets in which you can oversleep and the room's en-suite bathroom has a rainfall shower. We have a large biomass boiler which provides plenty of hot-water and keeps the central heating going whenever you need it so you will be cosy and warm all year round. Walk straight from the door over beautiful Bunster hill to Dovedale and its famous stepping stones, or along the ridge of the Manifold Valley, or beyond, there are so many walks to choose from.
Swallows skimming about, the scent of homemade organic bread and a selection of local and homemade goodies are the things that may greet you when you arrive at our organic dairy farm in the Peak District National Park. Our home is a farmhouse on an organic dairy farm in the beautiful Peak District National Park. Built from local limestone the farmhouse has been added to over the centuries since the 1500's. We run our business in the most environmentally friendly way we can without compromising on comfort for our guests. In 2018 we won gold for Sustainability in the Enjoy Staffs Tourism Awards! We have a Swedish hot-tub and barrel sauna in the farmhouse gardens which can be booked and hired by guests for a unique elemental experience (make sure you reserve this when you book your accommodation as it is very popular - and does cost extra).
The farm is set in the most stunning scenery and looks over the valleys of the Peak District. There are three self catering cottages on the farm, but none are overlooked. The village of Ilam is picturesque with beautiful chocolate box Swiss style houses and past the Anglo Saxon church there is Ilam Park, a National Trust property with a lovely tearoom. An exceedingly cosy, original 18th century cottage but also a deceptively large one with three spacious bedrooms. After walking over the hills of the Peak District or along the River Dove you can relax in front of the wood/coal burning stove or go across the road to the famous Devonshire Arms. The cottage, which makes it own contribution to the charm of Hartington, is mentioned in Pevsner's Guide to the Historic Buildings of England.
Exposed oak beams, stone fireplace, wood/coal-burning stove, private garden with terrace for dining.
Hartington is one of the prettiest and most popular villages in the Peak District with its famous cheese shop, tea rooms and pubs. It is also less than a mile from the spectacular River Dove.

Dove Cottage is an above average sized pet-free non-smoking cottage in one of the 'honey-pot' villages of the Peak District, located just yards from the River Dove . It has plenty of charachter features, in particular beams in all 3 rooms on the first floor. The living room has full sky programmes and upstairs the bedroom has a second tv and an en-suite decent sized bathroom. There is fully controllable central heating throughout.
In January 2019 the bathroom was completed gutted - not that there was anything wrong with it, it was just we had taken out the immersion heater, giving us the opportunity of creating a lot more space, so went the whole way and changed everything. So there is now a very smart and modern bathroom indeed! It still have a full sized bath with shower over. The photos of the bathroom have not yet been updated. And on 26th February 2019 we upgraded the wifi to super-fast fibre. The cottage is centrally located in a private courtyard consisting of three cottages, and is therefore able to offer peace and quiet despite being in the heart of the village which at times during the main tourist season or at weekends fairly busy. In the courtyard there is a barbecue and laundry room and dedicated parking for occupants of this cottage. There is some limited outdoor seating area with flower borders In the cottage there are ten (!) highly praised personalised information folders, ensuring guests are able to take maximum advantage of their stay in Hartington and its environs. On the other side of the courtyard as well as a laundry room there a Sky sports room with 55 inch TV and surround sounds, again offering all the Sky channels but also BT sports, and films of course. This room is shared with the two other cottages in the courtyard but little used due to all cottages having their own sky channels so guests can be pretty confident that when using it they will be the only ones in there. Please note that rentals include heating electric and linen. Please also note that between May and October we do not accept arrivals starting on a saturday (an almost identical cottage of ours next door does), nor do we accept bookings that finish on a saturday, even though the computer of this web site might appear to suggest this is possible, so please do not proceed to the 'request to book' link if wishing to leave on saturday morning
Hartington itself is one of the honey-pot villages in the Peak District, being regarded as an excellent base for walking and cycling. This is helped by its location only a couple of hundred yards from the River Dove, which can easily be reached from the village over an attractive meadow and from there, there is an excellent riverside path down to Dovedale, the most famous areas of the Peak District. As a result the village is able to support, despite only having 130 houses, several tea shops, two (excellent) coaching inns, a delicatessen, a grocers, two gift shops, a post office an art studio an antiques shop and famous cheese shop to which many make a point of travelling from miles around. There is also a duck pond which acts as a magnet for many visitors. The village is approached down a gorgeous but easily driven 2 mile long dale road from one of the Peak District's main artery roads, making it extraordinarily easy to get around to visit the numerous attractions in the Peak District.

Our home is based on a 4 acre plot in the middle of the Peak District. It's remote enough to feel you've escaped, but, still right on the a515 for easy access to all the Peak's can offer. You enter through a private entrance into a private hallway (the floor is tiled so perfect for storing muddy boots and wet coats). Then there is a cozy double bedroom with an ensuite shower. The house is Grade II listed with high ceilings, exposed beams and ultra-thick walls dating from the early 18th century
The room is part of our 18th century, Grade II listed former farmhouse. We have our own 4 acre wild flower meadow that you are very welcome to enjoy. It looks fantastic across the spring and summer and you can spot wild orchids, cowslips, ox eye daisies and tufted vetch (and too many others to mention). It's great for wildlife spotting (on the right day) and we get plenty of songbirds visiting the garden. The room is heated by the same central heating system as the rest of the house, but we'll also provide you with additional electric heaters to ensure you are as cozy as possible. The house does have Wi-Fi with pretty good speeds (it runs over the 4g network) but the thickness of the walls means you may struggle to get a signal in the bedroom (you can normally pick it up in your hallway). If you're on EE or 3 mobile you'll have perfect signal and data.... Anyone else and you'll need to walk into our field for a signal. The room has some basic amenities like a kettle and freeview TV but there isn't any provision to prepare any food (to be honest there are so many fantastic pubs, cafes and farmshops nearby you'll never go hungry).
We are 0.6 miles from the village of Newhaven, 0.7 miles from Biggin, and 2.3 miles from the pretty village of Hartington. Asbourne and Buxton are only a short drive away too. There are several nice walks and dales nearby and the Tissington and High Peak trails are also within walking distance

Quiet retreat adjoining open countryside Warning Saturday and Sunday the 18th and 19th July 2020 is Winster secret garden weekend. The village is exceptionally busy. Therefore if you are not interested in gardens that weekend is best avoided.
The Anchorage cottage is situated in a peaceful corner of the village of Winster in the Peak District National Park adjoining open countryside. Photo 10. There are beautiful walks literally from the door step. The White Peak Trail is 250 meters from the cottage. Photo 11 is taken from the field behind the cottage . Dating from the 18th century this lead miners cottage has been sympathetically restored and now offers self catering accommodation throughout the year. The Double bedroom overlooks the village and surrounding countryside. The en suite shower room has a wash basin shower and toilet. The sitting room has a TV and radio. The kitchen is separated from the sitting room by a breakfast bar. It is equipped with gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave and small cooker. Washing machine in separate building. The cottage is heated by gas central heating..There is a large well kept secure garden. Car parking on the premises, and free wifi.
The Bowling Green 100 meters from the cottage is a cosy typical village pub. This pub is very popular. I recommend that you book a table if you intend to have a meal there. There is a well stocked community shop and post office in the village which is open seven days a week.

This is a picture postcard 700 year old cottage (yes, 700 years old!) in the centre of the highly acclaimed and easy accessible village of Hartington, superbly situated adjacent to the Rover Dove. There are three bedrooms, each room has a spacious en-suite, one of them a full size bathroom. The original 700 year old (!) cruck beams can still be seen. The spacious living room is heavily beamed and has an Inglenook fireplace with imposing dressed stone surround & stone mullioned windows
The cottage is also graded 5 Star by the country's official grading organisation VisitEngland, something which only a very small percentage of cottages achieve. In the grading process, the Inspectors has also awarded an almost unheard of 100% for standards of housekeeping (cleaning) on each of their annual visits over the last ten years. Please note this is a non-smoking and pet free cottage. As well as the fabulous open Inglenook fireplace, there is of course central heating, fully under guests' control. The kitchen is extraordinarily well equipped, with a few guests having joked they made a point of trying to find something missing but been unsuccessful. In the cottage there are eleven (!) highly praised personalised information folders, ensuring guests are able to take maximum advantage of their stay in Hartington and its environs. This source of information has been highly praised by both experienced Tourist board Inspectors, and also by numerous guests The cottage benefits from super-fast wifi (which can be picked up anywhere in the cottage). There are full sky programmes (so including sports, entertainment and films) available on the television in the living room and the three bedrooms all have televions, but only with freeview channels. On the other side of the courtyard as well as a laundry room there is what we call a Sky sports room with 55 inch TV and surround sound, again offering all the Sky channels but also BT sports (this is shared with occupants of our two other cottages, but in practise guests in Knowl usually are the only ones using this room and occupants of the other cottages have their own sky programmes in their own cottages. There is parking in front of the cottage for two large or three smaller cars. Please note that rentals include heating electric and linen unlimited logs, kindling wood and a bit more. Please also note that for reasons that are too tedious to explain this sites' computerised pricing figure is sometimes but not always incorrect for guests looking to stay for a short break that includes a friday or a saturday night (in addition to other nights), It is however correct for those looking to book for a stay that does include both friday and saturday nights. In those circumstances rather than proceeding to the 'request to book' link, please instead send an enquiry by clocking on the 'contact your host' tab underneath details of 'Your host'
Hartington itself is one of the honey-pot villages in the Peak District, being regarded as an excellent base for walking and cycling. This is helped by its location only a couple of hundred yards from the River Dove. which can easily be reached from the village over an attractive meadow and from there , there is an excellent riverside path down to Dovedale (the most famous area of the Peak District). As a result the village is able to support, despite only having 130 houses, several tea shops, two (excellent) coaching inns, a delicatessen, a grocers, two gift shops, a post office, an art studio, an antiques shop and famous cheese shop to which many make a point of travelling from miles around. There is also a duck pond which acts as a magnet to many visitors. The village is approached down a gorgeous but easily driven 2 mile long dale road from one of the Peak District's main artery roads, making it extraordinarily easy to get around to visit the numerous attractions in the Peak District.
