Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. House Nozomi ROOM 101

A newly built steel-frame unit apartment built by SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. with highly airtight rental specifications. 12 minutes walk from JR Katsuragawa Station. There are McDonald's, Lawson, Yoshinoya, Discount Store Japan, etc. within a 5-minute walk. You can also use it for leisurely entertainment viewing on Netflix. There is a Yamato Transport office nearby, so it is possible to send luggage from the airport and pick it up at the nearby office.

Lake Biwa Lakeside villa

We have a Canadian house, just a stone through away from the beautiful Lake Biwa. Suitable place to stay for family trip, with friends and work trip. For 7guests or less, we rent 3 bed rooms (with 8 beds) For 8guests or more, we can rent the extra cabin space which is still part of the building but usually there is no access.(5 bed rooms and an attic, 12 beds and extra bathroom) please see photos and enquire within. - No Party - No BBQ after 9pm

Tabitabi「Taishi」

「Tabitabi Taishi」 remodeled from a traditional Japanese-style [Machiya]. It is designed with a lot of hand-dyed Japanese style Tang paper, wallpapers made of tin and gold foils, and other traditional Japanese crafts and elements. We also retain the original properties of the machiya. Here, you can experience the original and traditional Japan, and also you can feel the ingenuity of combining modern elements with traditional craftsmanship.

京都の伝統的な木造建築方式によるメゾネットタイプのテラスハウス。２ベッドルーム，２フルバスルームでそのうち１は露天風呂浴槽。 フルキッチン、レストルーム、シャワールームなどの水回りは現代的にリフォームしてあるりますので快適に過ごせます。 一棟貸し切りですので、他のゲストとスペースを共有することはありません。露天風呂は２４時間専用でご利用できます。 2026年３月から１名１泊1,000円の宿泊税になります。現地での宿泊税の徴収はありません。 ペットの受け入れは室内犬のみ対応になりました。介助犬は無料です。 作業用の小机、ベビーベッドの無料貸し出し可能。 最寄りのKH32藤の森駅まで徒歩３分。KH34伏見稲荷駅まで３分、KH36東福寺駅まで５分、七条駅まで７分、清水五条駅まで10分、祇園四条駅まで12分、そして三条まで14分。東山地区へのアクセス抜群。通常、京都駅からバスでそれらの地区に行くと20分から1時間かかります。近鉄奈良駅まで有料特急を利用して50分です。
