Squirrels Leap

Squirrels leap is located in the beautiful village of Trawden, voted in the Sunday Times best places to live in the North West 2022. Trawden was the first village in Britain to communily acquire the village pub, shop and library. The property is a stone built detached dwelling next to a stream and set in 9 acres of agricultural land, grazed by rare breed Herdwick sheep. Located in an ecological hotspot, with an abundance of wildlife, this peaceful and tranquil setting provides total relaxation.

The Tree Cabin

The heated tree cabin is set within a small secluded wood up a steep path. Cedar lined, insulated and oak clad it cantilevers out over a remote mill pond. Wake up in a tranquil heaven only shared with shy wildlife, including deer, hare, the odd badger and a variety of birds. In the cabin are a king-size plus bed, table and chairs, kitchen area with induction plate, microwave oven & toaster. Your own smaller tree cabin, a few trees away, houses a flushing toilet and hand basin with spring water.

Enjoy a relaxing stay at this recently renovated grade 2 listed weavers cottage. Only a 5 minute walk to the Town Centre shops, bars, restaurants and other local amenities. The cottage is only a 5 minute walk to the train and bus stations with direct links to Manchester and Leeds and Centre Vale Park is only a 2 minute walk. Stag Cottage (built C1580) is a beautiful, quaint, historic Grade II Listed building hidden away in the ancient, hilltop Pennine village of Heptonstall. Stag Cottage oozes charm and retains many original features, including stone mullioned windows, arched lintels, wooden beams and a king post truss with wattle and daub infill. A low 4ft 6'' beam separates the kitchen from the living area. The Cottage sleeps 3 people comfortably; a double bedroom with king-size bed and also a single bedroom.
