Hurricane Helene Update: We are incredibly fortunate that our property did not suffer damage from the storm and the main roads to and from our home are accessible. Internet and power have been restored, and our property is ready to offer a lovely refuge for anyone needing a temporary place to stay. We are devastated by the losses experienced in Western NC and encourage any locals to reach out with a message prior to booking if you want to spend a few days at the Hemlock. We want to help.

It comfortably sleeps 5-6 (5 in beds and can accomodate an additional sleeper on the couch in the living room), has a fully functioning kitchen, gas grill, WiFi, TV, all with a rustic mountain feel. The Ayer’s House is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Wilkesboro, NC. You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. W. Kerr Scott Reservoir is 4 miles away and offers fishing, swimming and boating. If mountain biking is your thing, drive across the dam and you will find top notch riding at the Dark Mountain Park. Downtown Wilkesboro is just 2.5 miles away and offers several restaurants, shops and the Wilkes Heritage Museum.

Make some memories at this rustic, hand built log cabin. This cabin was built using reclaimed pine logs from local tobacco barns. Both bedrooms are located in an OPEN LOFT upstairs. Privacy curtains are installed but do not block out noise The cabin is full of amenities including washer/dryer, hot tub, antique clawfoot tub with shower, full kitchen, jacuzzi tub, large back deck, game area with foosball table, and beautiful views of the little Brushy’s.
