Cabin in the WoodsOur place is at 2,500' elevation, ceiling fans to keep you cool. For winter, central heat or a fireplace keeps you snug and warm. It is so quiet you can hear wild turkeys crossing the driveway. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, New River, the Wilkesboros, West Jefferson, Boone (30 min.), Virginia Creeper Trail (1 hr.), W. Kerr Scott Lake (16 miles with great mountain biking). We think you will enjoy the coziness and mountain views. Our place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Cozy, Quiet EfficiencyThe Upper Room is an efficiency that will comfortably accommodate 1-2 people. A trundle bed converts to a king if needed. It is fully-equipped with a mini-fridge and small stove/oven and microwave. If tiny-house living appeals, you'll love your time here. People have stayed for extended periods and been very happy and comfortable. Please note: we do provide a TV, but there is no cable or satellite. We provide an HDMI cable - so bring your laptop if you desire to watch DVD's, etc.
The Outside Inn on the Blue Ridge ParkwayDuring COVID19 social distancing. I am blocking two days before and after each stay. Of course if you are sick please reschedule. Our private tiny glamping cabin with loft is located on 40 acres just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just down the road you can enjoy rafting, hiking, fishing, mountain biking and waterfalls. Additional camping options are also available on the property. Well behaved dogs and children are allowed if you check with me first. There will be an additional charge for dogs.
