The building has a beautiful and pleasant garden (250 mts2), with free access for guests. The apartment is housed in a heritage listed historic building, began to be Constructed in 1830 by John Allen (big dealer of Port wine) to be the city museum. In 1832 was bombed during the civil war, never having been fully completed. Throughout the nineteenth century served as a storeroom of Quinta do Noval and Casa Vilar Allen and later with diplomatic representation of Greece in Porto.
