Slightly further afield (Hulverstone, near Compton Beach, the Sun Inn was named one of the ‘Top 10 Cosy Pubs’ in the UK by the Daily Telegraph. The food is really good here, but at a 15 minute drive away it’s probably worth combining with a trip to the wonderful Compton Beach or Mottistone Gardens and Estate.

This local thatched pub in nearby Hulverstone is only a short walk through the nearby field of sheep, offering hearty British fare and cheerful conversation at the bar.

This is a lovely pub about a 20 min drive away at Hulverstone. Has a west facing garden with sea views so ideal spot in the evening to catch the sunset.

This is a great country pub, close to the beaches of Brighstone, Brooke and Compton with great views and a lovely beer garden. Book a table in advance.
