Tasik Y, formerly a mining site, is a recreational park with a man-made lake in the centre. It is situated in the city centre of Batu Pahat which is about 7 minutes drive from tye guest house. Here, you can find playgrounds for children, exercise facilities, rest huts for picnics and stone reflexology walking path. Mornings in Tasik Y is filled with music and laughter. Elderly as well as young children arrives at Tasik Y to take part in various exercises in group including aerobics, belly dancing, Tai Chi and so on. Tasik Y is also famous for the food stalls that serve authentic local cuisine such as Roti Canai, Rojak, Ais Kacang and so on.

Batu Pahat is a town suitable for family leisure. One of the well-known site is Taman Rekreasi Tasik Y. The most crowded site for sports and leisure not only in evening, but also morning and night time. Sound interesting when not only during evening? Yes you heard me right! The place will be more crowded in weekend, the only free time over the week for family times. There are plenty of sport equipment for adults and entertainment facilities for children at this recreational park. Sport enthusiast will head over without any reason but for jogging, as the track built was serene and surrounded by lush green of trees. The track is built along the side of lake, what else is more serene and joyful to jog around the lake with fresh air? But one thing to be remembered, the lake is prohibited from fishing due to the damage done to the environment. While parents enjoy their peaceful moment exercising, children can go for other facilities as well, ranging from two huge miniature of dinosaur to many attractive slides. This park is the childhood memory of every local grown up. Before technologies like tablet and smart devices start booming, all childhood time is being spent here. Laughter and joy of children is the best thing that a parent wish to hear, as described by the local, it is the most suitable site for family time rather than spending time in home on technological devices nowadays. During the break of the day, locals came as earlier as 5am to exercise. There will be also dances being carried out daily and everyone is welcomed! At night, leisure activities included roller skating and night walk. Some teenagers also willing to spend time here for a chit chat with some snacks, it is better than hanging out somewhere else due to its serenity and quietness. After having your body sweat out, you can head over the food stalls located just behind the recreational park for some refreshment. Local delicacies are being sold over there such as Roti Canai and rojak as well as desserts like Cendol and Ais Kacang. “莲花湖”原是一个呈Y型的湖泊，因湖内莲花盛开，而被称为莲花湖。后期当局在附近增辟一个人工湖，并添加健身及游乐设备，才形成今日的规模。在这个种满花草树木，到处青葱翠绿、空气清爽的休闲公园，晨昏都有各族市民在此跑步运动、鍜练身体；小孩子则喜欢在游乐场追逐嬉戏，不亦乐乎。许多峇株人喜欢趁周末或空闲时刻，举家到这个设备齐全又不收费的休闲公园，与妻儿细嚼天伦乐的温馨滋味。尤其在黄昏或入夜后，携妻带子或挽着另一半的手，到幽静的莲花湖休闲公园散步谈心，吹着徐徐凉风，的确是人生一大乐事。 Jalan Sejati, Kampung Bahagia, 83000 Batu Pahat, Johor
