Great local spot that features a gas station, Dutch restaurant (take-out or sit down), convenience store, as well as Dutch imports to check out! The restaurant hosts a great weekend brunch menu. Ice Cream Deck now open! 32 flavors of ice cream availble! Forgot the eggs, ran out of milk, need some marshmallows for your s’mores? We carry all of that plus more! Dish soap, oil for the boat or skidoo, batteries, or just a snack, we carry it all! Well, most of it: no one is perfect! From camping gear to summer toys, games and sparklers to bread and buns, The Wooden Shoe is your one stop shop! Fishing / Bait Of course we have bait! We are located on the southern tip of Gull Lake. We carry a selection of live and frozen bait. Live maggots and worms are a staple, as are frozen minnows, anchovies, and smelts. Seasonally, we will carry herring and leeches. Call ahead for availability. We also carry a great selection of hooks and other fishing gear. Len Thompson and ProStrike are the two top names we carry. In winter we carry handmade lures made by Albertan fishermen who know what fish like (no guarantees, sorry!). Tip ups, ice fishing rods, scoops and line are all available.
