The Antwerp Ruien, or old sewers or vaulted city canals, are a special attraction in the city. Waste water is no longer flushed away in the Ruien, which is why you can visit them with an underground walk. Since 2005, the three-hour walking tours have been organised. At the start of the tour, you put on a protective suit and are then guided through underground Antwerp.
