Great snorkelling for beginners or pros. Stay within the shallow cove or dive deeper on the outside of the reef for an amazing day of snorkelling! Grab a bite to eat across the street at one of the many food trucks to choose from.
Across the street from Foodland Pupukea, Shark's Cove (or aka the Pupukea tidepools) is ideal for those who want to be in the ocean but prefer to be in a 'protected' area of water (not too deep, not in the open ocean). There is some snorkeling in this area, and nearby is a basketball court. It's situated a short walk from Three Tables.
One of the favorite place for local people to go snorkeling, not crowded. has tide pool for children and adults who are not good at swimming but still want to snorkeling. Cold and has big waves in winter.
Haleiwa in and out of itself is the coolest little town to explore but you can't leave without visiting this North Shore favorite. Don't let the name scare you, Shark's Cove has some of the best snorkeling on island. A rental shack on the other side of the road caters to tourists wanting to explore the cove and all the wildlife that it has to offer. Make sure to bring water shoes- at least for the little ones. Volcanic rock is sharp and the sand here is very grainy. There is parking both on the dining and snorkel rental side as well as along the beach. Rest Rooms are closest to the shops.
