An easy, flat and shaded hike along the Laurel River. Walk up to 3.5 miles out, or as little as you want. Swimming spots along the river. Ample parking and a coffee shop too (The Laurel River Store).

You can walk to the French Broad River and back, and it's relatively level because it follows the Big Laurel. Good swimming holes! Good for deggos!

Park here for an easy but beautiful hike following the Laurel River. Often crowded on weekends, but still worth it. Store has coffee and quick food

This general store is a must-stop on the way to Hot Springs. Great coffee, creative ice creams. Local products! And we love the owner! (Not to mention one of the best local hikes to the river starts/ends here!)
