A beautiful park in the heart of one of Louisville’s most beautiful historic neighborhoods, Old Louisville. Take a stroll and peruse Victorian mansions. If you’re into architecture, definitely check this area out.

Central Park is in Old Louisville. Its not a large park, but has a small playground for the kids, and great tennis courts. The Shakespeare Festival is held here every summer. (see kyshakespeare.com) There are also various concerts here throughout the year. Want to make memories? Walk St James Court, eat dinner al fresco at Amicis (Ormsby st), then sit in the Park for a play or concert. They do have food/alcohol vendors too.

Beautiful park in Old Louisville. Newer tennis courts and they host Shakespeare in the Park during the summer as well as live music events.

A Fredrick Law Olmstead original. Same architect as the one in NYC and before he designed the NYC Central Park.
