Historic Dawn Fraser Baths, named after famous Olympic swimmer, Dawn Fraser who was one of the first Australian female swimmers to win gold in the 50's and 60's. Located in Elkington Park, Balmain, Sydney it is a tidal salt water pool with its own sandy beach at low tide. A welcome relief on a hot day.

The oldest swimming pool in Australia! Open October through April, this is an inner harbour tidal pool and a small beach is visible at low tide.

A beautiful spot. An old-fashioned bathing house built into the side of the harbour - and they even have some sand at low tide!
